The White Wall Company is hiring a designer to join its team in London.
About the job
We are looking for a CAD technician to join our team, to develop designs and produce the construction drawings for major artworks and exhibitions. The role is a minimum of four days a week, or full-time.
Key responsibilities:
- work alongside project manager and lead designers to develop and resolve design
- issue 3D drawings/DWGs for workshop production
- issue DXF/cut files for CNC machining and laser cutting
- produce 3D drawings to specification and in line with the company format
Essential experience:
- proficient working knowledge of Rhino
- minimum three years’ of experience of using Rhino 3D drawing software in a professional environment
- experience and knowledge of a range of fabrication materials
- strong communication skills
- high attention to detail
- experience of digital fabrication (CNC, 3D printing)
Desired experience:
- some practical knowledge/experience working in a workshop environment
- some experience of the arts industry
- liaising directly with suppliers and clients

The White Wall Company is an art fabrication company. We make sculptures and exhibitions for some of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists and gallery spaces. We work with our clients to bring projects from the stage of initial concept to structural feasibility to fabrication. The services we provide include CAD design and production drawing for woodwork, metalwork, fine paintwork, and a range of other fabrication methods.
We have a light and open plan mezzanine office above our workshop, and a small, friendly team.
