Project administrator
LEMA UK is the UK branch of one of the leading Italian furniture companies working in the luxury contract market for multi-apartments. The contract division is delivering furniture and joinery packages to a range of high-end residential projects primarily for blue chip companies and developers within the London area.
This role will require to support the project management team helping with VO substantiation, issuing POs, checking invoices, reading detailed drawings and floorplans, controlling documents via main contractor platforms, liaising with clients and requesting more information when needed. The candidate will be required to manage independently a range of projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will also have a basic experience within the furniture industry, however this is not fundamental. The candidate will be reporting to the head of project management on daily basis.

- knowledge of AutoCAD is preferable but not fundamental
- great communication skills – the candidate will be required to communicate with all the LEMA UK project managers on daily basis as well as via e-mail/phone with our suppliers
- an ability to manage multiple projects at a time and work as a team
- knowledge of the Italian language is preferable but not fundamental
Key responsibilities:
- assisting the contract division project management team
- helping with VO substantiation
- lease with the suppliers network
- substantial involvement during pre-construction & construction phases at a commercial level
- producing bill of quantities, schedules and all the relevant documents
- extracting information from architectural drawings and tender packages
- participating to design meetings and workshops
- collaborating with design team on detailing to achieve design intent
- working closely with project and site management team
- reporting to the head of project management of LEMA UK
Key skills:
- good knowledge of Microsoft Office package, particularly MS Excel
- proven ability to meet deadlines and provide a high-quality proactive service to the project management team
- degree in accounting/quantity surveyor
- have a ‘can do’ and flexible attitude
- strong organisational and time management skills
- ability to multi task/work on multiple projects and clients
- ability to think commercially
- being a real team player
- being able to understand technical drawings and floorplans
- basic knowledge of furniture industry
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- be proactive in driving tasks forward
We are looking for someone who is flexible, well organised, willing to take on responsibility, capable of working using their own initiative, able to work with different disciplines and can follow instructions.
