Armstrong Simmonds Architects is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.

We are an award winning architectural practice based in Battersea, looking for an ambitious Part 2 to join the team. Our work primarily focuses on high-end residential design, ranging from extensions and refurbishment of existing properties to one-off houses and multi-unit residential schemes.

Role

You will gain a broad range of experience with the opportunity to work at all RIBA stages, taking ownership of projects from initial survey through to work on site. You will take a leading role in the design and management of your projects, giving you an excellent opportunity to gain the range of experience needed to form a Part 3 case study.

Salary of £30 – 33K p.a. depending on experience.

Requirements:

• excellent verbal and written communication skills as your role will involve liaising directly with clients and taking a leading role in managing projects
• exceptional CAD proficiency and hand drawing skills. Experience with building surveys is a bonus
• ability to be diligent and take responsibility when meeting project deadlines, be proactive and take initiative
• ability to design creatively and adopt a positive can-do attitude at all times
