FF&E procurement and production manager

Davidson London is seeking an FF&E procurement and production manager to join its team in London.
Objective
You will be responsible for the process of procuring and managing the production of all furniture and their component parts. This includes managing the supply chain, identifying, and managing risks and opportunities and ensuring all project deliverables are on time. The role will involve liaising with suppliers, logistics companies, team members and clients to ensure the end product meets the desired specification, lead time and signed-off budget.
NB: This role will involve monthly travel to European workshops.
Key responsibilities:
- developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders such as logistics teams, shipping companies and warehouse/store managers
- negotiating contracts and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met
- managing the procurement and production process from point of order to delivery
- identifying and managing risks using RAID reports
- identifying and managing opportunities with MD
- ensuring that all project deliverables are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
- monitoring the quality of furniture and production
- organising logistics and deliveries
- ensuring supplier accounts are paid on time
- maintaining up-to-date records of all activities related to the procurement and project management of items through Monday.com
- monthly reporting to MD and FD on gross profit and requested KPI’s
Qualifications and skills:
- three to five years’ of experience in the furniture industry
- able to take responsibility and self-manage
- excellent organisational skills
- excellent negotiation and communication skills
- excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- knowledge of relevant software and tools
- the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Portuguese speaking would be an advantage
Reporting: the FF&E procurement and production manager will report to the managing director
