Social media intern
at Dezeen
Dezeen is offering a social media internship on its digital team in London.
Dezeen is the world’s most influential architecture and design magazine with over three million readers a month.
We’re looking for an organised and detail-orientated individual with some experience of copywriting, social media and digital content.
Reporting to Dezeen’s digital editor, the social media intern will assist the social media editor in ensuring that digital content published on Dezeen is scheduled for sharing across all our social media platforms. Prior experience working in SproutSocial is desirable but not essential.
In addition, the intern will assist the digital editor with other digital tasks as required, including newsletters and comment moderation.
The ideal candidate will exhibit:
- impeccable standards of written English, care deeply about grammar and punctuation, and have an eye for a strong image
- some experience in writing for social media
- some experience working with social media scheduling software
- fluent in TikTok and enthusiastic about the platform
- experience in editing short video content
- proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Photoshop and Premier Pro)
The role involves liaising with different departments at Dezeen to determine priorities and schedules as well as providing regular updates on task due dates and progress to relevant parties.
You must be available to work full-time for a minimum of three months and be able to start as soon as possible. This is a paid position at a rate of £462 per week, and is based at Dezeen’s office in Hoxton, London, UK.
