Industrial designer

Marc Newson is looking for an industrial designer to join its team in London.
Marc Newson is one of the most acclaimed and influential designers of his generation. He has worked across a wide range of disciplines, creating everything, including furniture and household objects, bicycles and cars, private and commercial aircraft, yachts, various architectural commissions and signature sculptural pieces for clients across the globe.
Job descriptions:
- work on numerous technically demanding projects across a host of sectors, including automotive, marine, interior/exterior architecture, products and furniture
- develop designs from sketch to presentation renderings to detailed 3D models
- periodic travel to client sites, mainly Europe, potentially the US
- full-time in-studio role based in our Central London studio
General requirements:
- four plus years’ post-graduation relevant work experience in at least three of the following design areas: automotive, marine, interior/exterior architecture, products, furniture
- excellent technical and 3D modelling skills, with a solid understanding of processes and materials
- past experience working with automotive and luxury clients would be an asset
- impeccable attention to detail and strong work ethic
- good time management skills, delivering work on time and to a high standard
- excellent visual and verbal communication skills, including being able to confidently liaise and correspond with clients directly
- must work well within a varied team
- fluency in English
Technical requirements:
- advanced 3D modelling skills, excellent proficiency in Rhino and/or Solidworks
- excellent 3D rendering skills
- knowledge of Adobe CS skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) would be an asset
The role will start in September/October 2023.
