Head of sustainability
at Studio PDP
Studio PDP is looking for a head of sustainability to join its team in London, UK.
This new role for the studio will lead and develop sustainable initiatives throughout the practice’s activities. This is a permanent part-time position, working between 16 and 24 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- ensuring regulatory compliance
- monitoring and reporting on environmental, social and governance, including collecting data and metrics following the reporting standards
- overseeing the sustainability performance of our projects through review process
- building organisational capabilities, identifying gaps and suggesting appropriate upskilling and/or sourcing the missing capabilities
- sharing and disseminating knowledge and best practices
- fostering cultural change, helping define and communicate purpose to drive the transformation and championing cultural change across the entire organisation
- embedding sustainability into processes and decision-making, revising key processes and related criteria/metrics/tools for decisions
- bonus skills: Passivhaus designer/consultant certification, notions of BREEAM, WELL and NABERS
Skills, knowledge and expertise:
- architectural qualification
- experience using Revit (optional)
- Passivhaus certified (preferred) with PHPP knowledge
- evidence of being a thought leader on the topic of environmental issues in the built environment
- good communication and teamwork skills
- proficient working knowledge of UK legal and statutory regulations and processes
- proactive and enthusiastic attitude and willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activities
