at BDP

BDP is looking for a BIM coordinator to join its team in London.

The role

The London studio is seeking a BIM coordinator. By implementing the use of BIM through project teams, you will be in a key position to contribute to a range of projects across multiple sectors such as sports arenas, housing and education and the company-wide BIM management team to shape the future use of BIM throughout the practice.

You will have a key practical role on BIM projects and be responsible for the BIM workflow and act as a Revit super user to coordinate and programme the use of Revit and associated software to deliver BIM to meet client requirements.

About you

From an architectural background, you will have at least a couple years’ experience working as a BIM coordinator using Autodesk software, implementing BIM processes across a range of medium to large-scale construction projects.

You will need to be an advanced user of Revit and Navisworks, have a detailed understanding of commercial construction techniques, the rationale behind design decisions and their application through BIM processes with a strong knowledge of ISO 19650 suite.

You will be able to implement and maintain BIM processes for the project and ensure robust quality control procedures to ensure all models and datasets are accurate, and that the level of information is fit for purpose.

You will be enthusiastic about the potential of BIM, have the ability to train less experienced software users, support the design team and be able to champion its benefits within project teams. You will be diplomatic and pragmatic, able to deliver sound advice and instruction to the project team and liaise with the design team. A working knowledge of data management linked to Revit is also highly desirable. Experience with dynamo is desirable but not essential.

Embracing an interdisciplinary design ethos, you will collaborate with clients, Revit specialists, design professionals and project participants at all levels to implement fully integrated BIM coordination, documentation and quality management.
