This is a permanent and full-time opportunity. The salary range is £30,000 – 34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About Donna Wilson
Donna Wilson is an award-winning textile and product designer based in London. Perhaps best known for her knitted lambswool creatures and signature shaped cushions, over the past two decades, her range has grown to include ceramics and tableware, knitwear and accessories, and many other odd objects. As a forerunner of the contemporary craft movement, she has always remained true to her principles, using traditional techniques and locally based suppliers wherever possible. The Donna Wilson studio is located in Bethnal Green, East London, where she and her talented team knit, sew and ship her designs to stockists and fans worldwide.
The role
We’re looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic sales and marketing manager to join our small, friendly team in Bethnal Green. This is a diverse role and you’ll be responsible for driving sales and new business, whilst implementing all aspects of wholesale, e-commerce sales and marketing, and taking a lead on PR and press outreach.
The role will involve, but will not be limited to:
Wholesale:
- communicating with domestic and international wholesale accounts on a day-to-day basis, driving growth of existing business and seeking out new opportunities
- devising and implementing a wholesale strategy to drive growth across all major markets
- managing and maintaining brand presence on third-party platforms
- representing the brand and leading sales activity at trade shows and pop-up retail events
E-commerce:
- managing all aspects of the Donna Wilson WordPress e-commerce website, including uploading and merchandising of products, writing compelling, SEO-optimised product copy and editing photography and image assets (Photoshop experience preferred)
- analysing key performance metrics using Google Analytics and native insights
Marketing and PR:
- leading marketing strategy across all channels, delivering and implementing a calendar of activities, campaigns and collaborations
- managing organic and paid social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and PPC advertising (Google Ads)
- planning and producing weekly, segmented email newsletters and automated flows and regular wholesale updates
- taking a lead on brand guardianship across all written content, ensuring a clear and consistent voice is used across all communications
- managing incoming press enquiries, writing press releases and handling press outreach to secure coverage
Skills:
The ideal candidate will be:
- a multitasker
- in possession of strong negotiation skills
- commercially aware, with a creative flair
- experienced in managing key wholesale accounts
Desired but not essential experience skills:
- managing a WordPress/WooCommerce website
- proficient in MailChimp plus Klaviyo email marketing
- basic understanding of HTML
- proficient in Excel
- basic Adobe Photoshop skills
