Richard Griffiths Architects is recruiting a Part 2/3 architect to join its team in London.
Richard Griffiths Architects is a RIBA award-winning practice that this year is celebrating its 30th anniversary specialising in the sustainable reuse, adaption and repair of existing buildings. Our works cover various scales up to £25M and are often associated with listed buildings and their context.
We are looking to recruit a Part 2 architectural assistant/recently qualified post-Part 3 architect with a specific interest in the field of building conservation.
Requirements for the position are:
- professional degree in architecture or qualified architect registered with the ARB
- familiarity with building codes and regulations
- fluent in spoken and written English
- management skills including writing meeting agendas and minutes
- site experience and construction knowledge at RIBA stage 4-7
- knowledge of traditional construction detailing methods and/or building conservation
- proficient knowledge in AutoCAD LT and Adobe products
- ability to work collaboratively in a small team and independently
- excellent communication and presentation skills within and outside the office
- experience of writing reports and planning applications
You will also need to demonstrate that you have undertaken additional study in the area of heritage/conservation, either through the SPAB scholarship scheme or through another UK-recognised conservation accreditation or gathered through previous project experience.
The offer is for an initial 12-month period, which would likely be extended following review. The salary is to be reviewed at interview based on the level of experience of the candidate. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
