Mid-weight FF&E designer

Mokka Design is looking for a mid-weight FF&E designer to join its team in London.
Mokka Design is a multi-award winning company that has built a reputation for creating luxurious and elegant interiors both within the UK and internationally. Currently working on residential projects in Ibiza, Cape Town, Dubai, Cap Ferrat and London, Mokka Design have a prestigious client list built largely by word of mouth recommendations.
We are looking for a motivated, creative and technically strong mid-weight interior designer to join our growing team.
Role and responsibilities:
- participate in all stages of the design process under direction of the senior designers and directors
- assist in the development of concepts, FF&E design and space planning
- prepare and develop presentations for client meetings
- put together schedules, specifications and design intent packages to a high quality
- monitoring the daily tasks of junior designers and ensuring that all administrative records are being completed thoroughly and company standards are being met
- conduct site visits and liaise with trades
- sourcing and general research of materials, finishes and FF&E
- liaising with suppliers for samples, pricing and following up on lead times
- assist with costings and formulation of budgets, with some commercial awareness
- assist with the procurement process
- manage project programmes under the direction of the senior designers and directors
Knowledge and skills:
- must have minimum three years of professional experience in a similar luxury design studio and a portfolio of projects worked on at a high level
- relevant interior design/interior architecture qualification
- fluent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Adobe Photoshop with strong project management and organisational skills
- proficient in Estimac and Microsoft Office, with a good understanding of the FF&E procurement process
- have onsite experience and knowledge of liaising with architects, contractors and suppliers
- ability to interface with clients and interpret and deliver their requirements
- good knowledge of FF&E suppliers
- works well under pressure with an aptitude for multitasking
- an eye for detail and a meticulous approach
