There is an opportunity to join native north as an architect in London.

native north is a London-based architecture practice with people and place at the heart of what we do. We are looking to recruit a motivated and ambitious architect to work on a range of exciting new residential projects including private residential houses and small scale new-build affordable housing. The position offers the opportunity to play a vital role in developing and shaping native north.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • maintain and continually strive to improve our close-knit practice ethos, instilling this through each project at all stages
  • creation, presentation and communication of architectural design ideas exceeding client expectation inclusive of; sketching, diagrams, 3D modelling and visuals
  • day-to-day responsibility for preparation and delivery of project outputs in line with agreed brief and deliverables, ensuring actions are followed through
  • collaboration with internal and external parties inclusive of clients, contractors and consultants (engineers, surveyors etc)
  • ability to prepare detailed and fully coordinated working drawing packages within agreed timescales with understanding of budget
  • management of tender processes: documentation, issuing and analysing
  • site inspections: liaison with contractors on site, responding to RFI’s, managing site inspections and producing documentation
  • ensure risk, quality, legal issues and best practice guidelines are identified and met

Required skills and experience:

  • more than two years experience post qualification (ARB registered architect)
  • excellent design and technical skills, ideally gained on residential projects
  • proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, specification writing and Microsoft Office skills are essential
  • a good understanding of the current RIBA work stages, planning processes and building regulations
  • procurement, party wall and contract administration experience is an advantage, but not essential
  • able to work on their own initiative and have excellent communication, time/project management and organisational skills with professional attitude
  • fluent written and spoken English
  • awareness of current Construction Design Management 2015 (CDM) regulations is advantageous

Our salary offer is £32,500 to £37,500 per annum, depending on experience.
