3D generalist
at Boss Design
The Boss Design Group is looking for a 3D generalist to be part of its team in the West Midlands, UK.

Working with dealers, architects, designers and corporates to provide high quality environments worldwide.
We support our clients with 3D and digital assets focusing on creating CAD models from our in house design team to the following formats: Revit, 3D DWG, 3DS, SketchUp, and utilising 3D platforms for visualising and quoting such as pCon and CET. Managing projects and working with suppliers and partners is a key part of the role.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our design and marketing teams to enhance our digital experience and online product configurator journey. We need you to be the link between the company’s product catalogue and our configurator supplier, connecting 3D CAD with pricing options. You may not know what pCon or CET is, but your 3D CAD skills and attention to detail are essential to prepare you for this role.
What you will be doing – the beginning
- create and optimise 3D assets/3D CAD files
- work with our team to deliver the full suite of 3D assets
- collation and preparation of pCon data (3D plus product information)
- collation and preparation of CET data (3D plus product information)
- CAD file library management
- Revit file briefing and management
- ability to learn and develop new skills
What you will be doing – moving forward
- pCon support and troubleshooting with internal users
- manage our pCon data, catalogue and subscribers
- manage our CET data, catalogue
- implement requested feedback and changes
- contribute to internal processes and quality improvement
- document project data accurately and timely
- digital archiving
- 3D visualisation and liaison
Who you are:
- all things 3D – ability to use Solidworks, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Revit would be a bonus
- have the ability to work and communicate with a broad customer base in a multinational company
- team-oriented working style with good communication and network skills
- deep understanding of visual and geometric requirements for a product from verbal descriptions, sketches, photographs, prototypes and/or mock-ups
- strong organisational capability
- detail-oriented
- work on multiple projects and manage your time in line with company priorities
- have the ability to handle and document project information in a structured manner
Qualifications:
- one to five years prior experience working with 3D modelling
- a relevant degree or industry experience
- medium to advanced 3ds Max knowledge; equivalent type applications can be taken into consideration
- artistic skills and knowing how to use technology to your advantage
- experience with Photoshop, After Effects, Unreal Engine, animation and rendering (V- Ray, Corona) are a bonus
- a body of work that demonstrates your experience
This role can grow and be taken in many different directions depending on how you want to progress and evolve your skill set. We have a key role to fill with strong CAD skills but can offer opportunities on top as business needs to demand.
