SJK Architects is looking for a talented and motivated Part 2 architectural assistant or recently qualified Part 3 architect to join its office in Westport, Ireland.

We’re an award-winning practice, established in the West of Ireland since 1954, under third generation youthful directorship, with a focus on high quality public and education buildings throughout Ireland.

A summary of the preferred requirements is below:

• ambition and interest in architecture, design and de-carbonising
• fast learner able to adapt to new challenges
• experience in Irish practice and familiarity with building regulations and planning process
• excellent communication and presentation skills
• personable, proactive and confident, working independently and as part of a team
• highly proficient in AutoCAD
• proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• desire for the opportunity to develop career experience in this role, contributing to build projects over a number of years, while living and working on Ireland’s wild Atlantic coast, within commuting distance of Westport town, voted Ireland’s best place to live
