About the role
Dagmar is a fast-growing Scandinavian design brand headquartered in London with a well-established global customer base. We are looking for a dynamic and highly experienced sales manager to join our company and help us meet our ambitious growth targets over the coming years. The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of the furniture and interiors industries in the UK, Europe and USA and a genuine passion for modern design. You will be responsible for creating and executing our sales strategy in order to maximise revenue growth and customer acquisition across B2B and DTC sales channels.
As part of a small but rapidly growing team it is essential that you are proactive and comfortable working autonomously. The role requires someone who can build, inspire and motivate a team in order to meet ambitious targets. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with them to shape the long-term sales strategy of the company. An ability to build and maintain strong relationships with demanding clients is essential.
Responsibilities:
- meet ambitious sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
- design and implement a sales strategy to maximise digital DTC sales via our e-commerce platform
- expand our wholesale dealer network by identifying relevant retailers in key markets and building relationships with key decision makers
- expand and maintain our B2B A&D client list to maximise average revenue per account
- source and manage third party sales agents in key markets such as the USA
- prepare and present quarterly sales reports and forecasts to the management team
- identify emerging markets and trends whilst working closely with the product development team to ensure priorities are aligned and budgets allocated efficiently
- work closely with the marketing team to maximise the commercial potential of new product launches
Requirements:
- minimum five years of relevant sales experience in a design-oriented industry
- proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- strong commercial sense, industry expertise and broad business knowledge
- excellent people management skills and positive attitude
- willingness and ability to travel to Europe and the USA as required
