Junior designer/interior architect
at Halkin Management Company
Halkin Management Company is looking for a junior designer/interior architect to join its small team in London.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- support the creation and development of design concepts for Halkin’s office spaces
- work closely with the Halkin sales team to produce office layout drawings in a timely manner
- work on phases of various interior projects including concept design, design development and production of construction documents
- preparation of presentation drawings and specifications, including CGIs and samples
- preparation of furniture, fixtures and equipment schedules (FF&E)
- preparation of scopes of works for tender
- work closely with external contractors and suppliers on individual build projects
- preparation of detailed joinery drawings for fitted furniture where required
- coordination and communication of all aspects of architectural design within multidisciplinary teams
- marketing/social media support
Requirements:
- degree in interior architecture or architecture
- minimum of two years’ experience in high-end office, hospitality or retail interior design
- good understanding of interior space planning and how to detail joinery
- positive, intuitive, and confident person who is able to produce high quality, accurate drawings independently
- enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a small team
- must be organised, used to working to tight deadlines and respond well to feedback
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
- Rhino/SketchUp/3dsMax and V-Ray an advantage
- self-motivated and hard-working
- must have excellent written and spoken English
- strong communication skills
- experience in creating and developing design concepts and formulating design presentation strategies by design software or freehand sketch
- must have a legal right to work in the UK
