Chartered landscape architect
at HTA Design
HTA Design is seeking chartered or near-chartered landscape architects to join its London studio.
HTA’s landscape team is celebrating 20 years of practice. With over 40 professional staff, we work independently as well as an integrated part of HTA on a broad range of large-scale, complex projects including park restoration, public realm, town centre regeneration, landscape-led master-planning, housing, heritage and sustainable placemaking.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for all aspects of landscape design, production and delivery on a range of projects. They will actively contribute to HTA’s objective to lead the field in sustainable placemaking.
To be considered the successful candidate will have:
- a master’s degree in landscape architecture or another equivalent level
- chartered member or near chartered status of the Landscape Institute.
- minimum of four to six years’ post-MA qualification experience is required
- excellent project management skills
- a thorough understanding of agreed project outputs, resource management, fees, specific team responsibilities, delivery timeframes, tracking issues and risks, internal and external communication and escalation
- proven capability to take responsibility for the delivery of one low-complexity project or parts of medium-complexity projects and manage them effectively
- demonstrate good presentation and public speaking skills
- proven track record of delivering projects successfully through planning consent and or on-site
- strong attention to design quality and technical detail including understanding and application of UK landscape design standards and statutory requirements with evidence of their application over several projects
- able to effectively manage team/project resourcing and client meetings
- strong IT skills, with experience using all MS Office applications and highly proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Sketchup and Lumion is desirable
