Autor Architecture is currently looking for an experienced Part 2 assistant/recently qualified Part 3 architect to join its London team.

 Autor Architecture is a fast growing and ambitious RIBA chartered practice and award winning design studio based in east London. Established in 2008, our approach focuses on process and strategy, combining urban design with place-making and sustainability to create amazing places to live and work.

Our studio is based in canal-side offices in east London, where we form part of a wider creative community of local designers. As a small team we are driven, focused and agile; we forge personal relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure our designs exceed expectations.

We are looking for a talented, motivated and Part 2 architectural assistant/Part 3 architect to join and grow with our fantastic team!

The position available would suit applicants with strong design and technical ability, as well as an interest in concept and planning design, prefabrication and construction detailing. Applicants must also be flexible and keen to learn our office systems, as well as committed to growing with us over the coming years.

Skills and attributes:

  • RIBA Part 2/3 with one-three years previous office experience
  • exceptional design portfolio and experience of job running and project management
  • an ability to think creatively and strong interest in concept and detail design
  • experience in and a passion for working on residential and mixed-use projects
  • proficiency in Vectorworks, together with knowledge of working in 3D
  • excellent 3D modelling skills – physical and digital (inc. SketchUp/Revit)
  • excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator
  • thorough and conscientious, with a sensitivity for detail and presentation
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • fluent in both written and spoken English
  • excellent time management skills, and an ability to manage conflicting or multiple deadlines
  • be able to work independently and as part of a small team under the guidance of a project architect
