Yoo is seeking an experienced senior interior designer/interior architect to join its team in London.
Yoo is an inspirational design studio focused on branded concept interior design. Situated in the heart of London we work on international high end projects with some of the world’s biggest names in design, development and construction industry. Our studio environment is informal, democratic, highly ambitious and very dynamic.
We are looking for a senior designer who can inspire as much as being inspired. Someone with a strong design vision and engaging personality and an abundance of conceptual ideas.
We expect if you have arrived at this point in your creative career you will have a minimum of 15+ years’ experience in residential and hospitality design and technical, team building, client facing skills and excellence in visual and spoken communication that comes with the senior job title.

Key aspects:
- develop and lead the creative output and guidance on high end residential development projects
- develop project concepts, mood boards and FFE direction with assistance of team members or in control of delivering their work themselves
- develop and execute concept and detail design packages for projects ensuring deliverables are on programme and budget
- responsible for delivering and producing high standard detailed technical drawings, concept design that reflects the project brief through the use of broad materiality and FFE supported by the team
- liaising with clients and creative directors, on a regular basis about projects, from conception to completion
- maintain the line of communication with the client’s project manager, creative team, architects and suppliers
- managing all stages of the project to ensure on time delivery and addressing issues when they arise
- maintain the line of communication with the client’s project manager, creative team, architects and suppliers
- prepare presentation and lead kickoff meetings with guidance from head of design
- work as part of the design team on ongoing projects as required by the design director
- manage mentor and develop junior and mid weight designers
Desired skills and experience:
- 15+ years professional experience in the interior/architecture industry
- extensive work experience in high end residential and/or hospitality interior design
- high standard of technical understanding, coupled with a broad and detailed FFE and materiality
- advanced level of industry standard software Vectorworks preferably, AutoCAD and Abobe CS
- proactive and entrepreneurial attitude with business building skills
- strong leadership skills along with organisational skills and have the ability to prioritise workload and produce work to strict deadlines
- passionate about FFE trends and have great insight into contemporary design language
- sharp eye for details and a ‘natural’ design flair
- extensive knowledge of construction and building technology
- demonstrate great financial understanding of project costs and be budget-aware when designing
- lead by example and have the ability to work in a team as well as on your own initiative, successfully delivering multiple projects with multiple creative directors when necessary
- demonstrate professional conduct with clients, managers and team members
- excellent presentation and client facing skills.

- be flexible to travel
