Built By Nature is a not-for-profit environmental organisation established in 2021 by Laudes Foundation.

The company was set up to draw attention to the built environment’s contribution to carbon emissions, which accounts for 40 per cent of global emissions. The organisation instead aims to accelerate the use of timber for buildings and construction within Europe, promoting forest stewardship and regenerative programmes.

Built By Nature is headquartered in Amsterdam and partners with Centre for Natural Material Innovation, Cities 4 Forests, Climate-KIC, Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance and Bauhaus der Erde.
