AECOM is recruiting for a senior landscape architect at its London headquarters. 

Job summary

AECOM is looking for exceptional senior landscape architects to join our busy central London studio. We continually design and deliver some of the premier, award-winning landscape architecture projects around the world. Our projects range from award winning design, major masterplanning schemes, major events such as Olympics or World Expos, five-star resorts, national infrastructure projects, landscape planning, and landscape strategy.

As a senior landscape architect in our landscape architecture studio, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of project types at all stages of the design and implementation process. The successful candidate work closely with the director team to lead design development and delivery at all stages.

Key responsibilities:

  • prepare innovative conceptual landscape designs and urban public realm design alongside studio leadership
  • utilise exceptional 3D modelling skills to generate design concepts and clear design graphics
  • possess the technical expertise in landscape architecture to deliver projects from conception to construction
  • possess the ability to clearly write design reports, design and access statements and construction specifications are essential
  • work within multidisciplinary teams both within the design and planning practice (blending landscape, urban, environmental and community design) as well as across studios

Minimum requirements

Qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or related discipline at a minimum, masters preferred. Chartered status with a relevant professional body is preferred
  • 5-10 years’ progressive experience, ideally in a multidisciplinary practice

Preferred qualifications:

  • strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent design technical capabilities with a focus on the delivery of high quality public realm projects
  • demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of projects from proposal development to completion, including periodic project reviews, with a focus on maintaining project schedule and budget
  • proficiency in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino/Grasshopper, SketchUp, BIM (Civil 3D and/or Revit)
  • strong interpersonal skills including relationship building and communication at all levels and work collaboratively across the organisation and with clients
