Job description: interior designer

Reporting to: international operations director

Job purpose

You will be the sole interior designer at the Allbright and your key focus will be to ensure our existing spaces are polished, the design aesthetic is on-brand as well as designing our new spaces. You will have a great eye for design and the finer details. You will need to have a flexible, tenacious and collaborative attitude to succeed in this role and be highly creative with a keen eye for detail.

Outline of key responsibilities:

  • work closely with the property operations director, the operations director and co-founders to ensure our existing spaces and new openings capture the feel of the brand
  • ensure interiors are achieved on schedule for new openings – some project management will be involved
  • understand the Allbright vision and mission and create environments to align
  • develop design concepts and establish final briefs to present
  • source products and materials, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing and provide samples, in accordance with design and budget
  • prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes where necessary
  • be involved at building stage and liaise with architects, project managers and surveyors to ensure feasibility of design, establish best use of space
  • keep up to date with new developments in the design industry

Skills and experience:

  • proven and demonstrable experience as an interior designer (or equivalent associate) in commercial buildings/preferably hospitality
  • creativity/imagination and ability to visualise concepts and translate for others
  • keen interest in changing trends and design aesthetics
  • awareness of technical building issues/range of materials
  • highly creative with a passion to create a design USP for the AllBright brand
  • highly organised with the ability to think outside of the box
  • results driven with the ability to meet targets and deliver on deadlines
  • the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, you will be passionate about AllBright’s mission and have a keen aptitude to learn about all the different product offerings and the different audiences attributed

Salary: negotiable

Hours: flexible, potential travel to US and other UK sites may be required
