CLB Architects is hiring an interior designer to join its team in Wyoming, USA.
CLB is an award-winning architecture and interiors firm specializing in residential, commercial and arts-related projects across the country. We are seeking full-time, onsite employees who share our passion for creating place-inspired design at our Jackson, WY studio.
The interior designer delivers projects from conceptual design through construction administration. They manage all aspects of interior architecture and interior furnishings projects including, design, schedule, fee, budget and collaborating with clients, colleagues, consultants and contractors. This passionate leader manages three to four projects at a time and inspires their team to succeed.
Qualifications:
- professional degree in arts-related field, interior design, interior architecture or architecture preferable
- five-plus years’ experience in high-end residential interior design
- proficient in design software: ArchiCad, Studio Webware, Fohlio, Twin Motion (or equivalent rendering software), Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- proficient in G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and timekeeping/ billing software
- excellent presentation skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- ability to thrive in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- expertise in selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials and finishes
- knowledge and understanding of trade resources vendors and international design trends
- ability to create a set of construction drawings, specifications and schedules for interior architecture and interior furnishings
- authorization to work in the US
Responsibilities:
- contribute to the generation of well-crafted design ideas
- oversee the implementation of interior design solutions for assigned projects from concept stage through installation
- review all specifications – furniture, fixtures, equipment, including layout drawings and detailed product description as well as provisions of contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation of furniture
- manage budget, fee expectations and timelines for assigned projects and proactively communicate progress with senior team members and clients as necessary
- build productive and trusting relationships with clients and manage client expectations
- coordinate and collaborate with other consultative professional services, including architects, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers and other specialty consultants
- lead research and analysis of client goals and requirements, and develop documents, drawings and diagrams that outline those needs
- develop preliminary plans, two and three-dimensional design concept studies and sketches that integrate client needs
- observe and report on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completion, as a representative of and on behalf of the client
- effectively lead, supervise and/or mentor junior team members
- contribute to the productive and affirming culture at CLB
Compensation:
- salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $70,000-$120,000
