Project architect

An architecture practice based in London is looking for a project architect to join its team.
The practice is young with a passion for carefully designed, intelligent and beautiful architecture, specialising in domestic residential projects in London and south-east England.
The successful applicant must be experienced in the design and delivery of domestic residential projects. The successful applicant must have the ability to demonstrate a design narrative through confident and clear client presentations and beautiful drawings.
Skills and experience:
- talented and confident designer
- superb hand-drawing and ability to clearly and beautifully illustrate design ideas
- passion for both architectural and interior design
- highly creative and thoughtful with an appreciation of materials, light, composition and colour
- over three years’ proven experience in developing a similar role within an architectural practice
- strong team leader who can deal with challenging situations and understanding of project issues
- professional, with a clear understanding of all RIBA project stages, including intelligent project cost analysis
- ability to manage and take ownership of multiple projects at any one time
- strong communication and project management skills with excellent standard of written English
- good knowledge and understanding of UK planning legislation
- excellent technical knowledge and passion for careful detailing
