Formwerkz is recruiting an associate designer to join its team in Singapore.

Job description

• leads a team with overview and supervision of multiple projects in the team
• mentoring and assisting junior and middleweight designers. Participates in business development activities
• define project requirements and schedule during the “brief”
• undertake design projects from concept to completion
• interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans
• set costs and project fees according to budget
• ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations where applicable
• research and decide on materials and products sourcing with competent knowledge of FF&E
• produce “sample” and “mood products”, selection of FF&E
• managing detailed specification and procurement of FF&E with sting, materials, finishes and schedules
• assist to maintain FF&E library
• supervise site work progress
• work closely with consultants, architects and contractors
• research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practice
• to travel as and when necessary
• any other ad hoc assigned
