Experiential/3D designer
Glossier has an opportunity for an experiential/3D designer to join its office in New York.
Glossier is looking for a experiential/3D designer with three plus years experience, to oversee design and merchandising for all Glossier retail spaces, pop-ups and environmental activations. To creatively interpret brand vision and new concepts into retail and interactive experiential spaces. We are looking for a proactive problem solver and creator with experience of imagining 3-Dimensional creative solutions for retail and event spaces. Can balance timing, brand and budget needs with outside-the-box creative vision.
Responsibilities
- to creatively interpret the Glossier brand vision into retail and experiential spaces
- continues to evolve Glossier IRL experiences
- excited to redefine the beauty/retail experience space
- carries ideas and concepts through to realization of a 3D object or space
- redefines testing and customer touch-points through retail/offline experiences
- hires and manages outside consultants/expertise where necessary
- balances timing, brand and budget needs with creative vision
- works with experiential team peers, and where required outside vendors, to realise all Glossier offline experiences:
- short term retail test spaces
- Glossier Studio pop ups and event spaces
- long term retail development and evolution of merchandising for all of above
- able to source and work with vendors on both the design and construction front
- manages workflow and communications with partners and cross functional teams
- research, source and procur materials, furniture, design fixtures

Creative and technical requirements
- minimum of three years related experience
- bachelor’s degree in interior/architecture design from an accredited program
- great taste and awareness of current retail/experiential field
- understands materiality, understands retail
- understands customer flow and journeys
- knows how to visualise and present concepts through to finished drawings
- models concepts in 3D thru software like SketchUp/Rhino etc
- full use of Adobe Creative suite – illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
- knowledge of merchandising and display
- understands how to build and keep a brand I.D. moving in experiential spaces
- understands and aligns with Glossier brand and taste level
