Pattern has an opportunity for a receptionist to join its team in London.
Pattern are a dynamic, award-winning architectural practice based in London, focused on excellence. We execute high-profile projects internationally across a variety of sectors including sports, education and residential. We are looking for a receptionist to support our expanding creative team.
The Pattern receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors, telephone and email enquiries. The successful candidate will have a professional telephone manner and strong communication skills. They will be highly organised and able to solve problems on their own. They will have an interest in design and empathise with Pattern’s practice philosophy.
Our creative studio environment demands enthusiasm and flexibility, and every day is different. This role requires a candidate who can anticipate the needs of the team and get things done.
Our receptionist’s duties will include, but are not limited to:
- managing the main office phone, taking and forwarding messages
- answering the front door and welcoming guests with tea and coffee
- coordinating meeting room bookings and managing calendars
- ordering lunch and preparing rooms for meetings
- booking worldwide travel for staff
- monitoring the office email account
- handling the post, deliveries and couriers
- keeping the office, kitchen, and meeting rooms tidy
- ordering groceries, general supplies and stationary
- assisting the office manager, as and when required
- ensuring the conference call and printing equipment is working correctly
- running general errands as needed
- light PA duties to directors as needed
- occasional preparation of office documents and presentations
