Freelance interior architect at Raw Edges Design Studio
The London-based design studio is seeking to work with an interior architect on a freelance basis.
We are looking to work with a talented and creative interior architect on a large private residential project to start immediately. Applicants must have experience within the interior residential field with great sensitivity to colour and material combination. The main core of the job would be to bring a visual atmosphere into details, specifying materials of surfaces, working on creative solutions and developing bespoke furniture.
The design studio run by Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay is known for its experimental and inventive approach. The studio develops products, furniture, interiors and installations with a strong emphasis on tactility, playfulness and colour. Vitra, Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Kvadrat and Mutina are among the studio’s clients.
Your responsibilities:
- transforming a general visual atmosphere into detailed design
- developing material and colour palettes and mood boards
- designing bespoke furniture and fixtures
- producing detailed technical drawings for specialist joinery
- researching for furniture, lighting and other residential equipment
- communicating with suppliers, ordering and organising samples
- preparing online presentations
- showing great knowledge and understanding surfaces, materials and cover solutions
Your skills and experience:
- experienced in high standard interior residential projects, preferably private housing
- proficiency at working with CAD, ideally Revit but other CAD programs might be useful as well
- able to provide basic level renders
- show great passion and knowledge toward architecture with the ability to research and to showcase study references
- great organising skills
