Part 1 architectural assistant

Tate + Co has an opportunity for Part 1 architectural assistant to join its practice in London.
We are architects, masterplanners and interior designers. Our projects range in scale from large regenerative masterplans to individual houses, and we have a broad spectrum of clients, including schools, universities, developers, hotels and local authorities. All our work fosters a connection to landscape, heritage and community.
We were founded in 2007 as sustainability specialists, based on our core belief that better spaces create better outcomes for people and planet. Job description
Business development:
- assist in the preparation of design proposals, presentations, and tender submission, for the purposes of winning work
- contribute to business development by growing opportunities in new and current markets/sectors. This may include attending networking events and expanding the company client base
Architectural/technical:
- generate high impact innovative ideas, consider, and introduce new approaches
- assist in anticipating trends and impacts of sustainability and regulatory factors on design work
- assist in the preparation of architectural design proposals and presentations at all stages of a project
- with a director or an architect, meet with clients and construction professionals to discuss project objectives, budget, and feasibility of designs. Prepare meeting schedules, agendas and minutes as required
- assist in reviewing local rules and regulations to ensure the construction project falls within all constraints
- assist in the creation of drawings, detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications for architectural projects
- use the computer-aided design software to create blueprints and images
- assist in the coordination of work between contractors, surveyors, engineers, and design team to create a viable and deliverable design
- visit proposed locations and building sites as required
- assist in the resolution of issues that come up during construction
- participate in design reviews
General:
- taking on any incidental duties including answering the telephone
- implementing practice systems and policies including the Quality Management System, Health and Safety Policy, Sustainability Policy, and Equal Opportunities Policy
Requirements:
- an interest in low-energy sustainable design
- outstanding communication and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- good attention to detail
- skilled in hand drawing
- expertise in Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop and Indesign
- excellent rendering skills (ie. Enscape or V-Ray)
- fluent in written and spoken English
- must be eligible to work in the UK

Salary: dependent on experience but will be competitive.
