The Modern House is looking for a graphic designer to join its marketing team in London.

For this exciting new role, we are seeking a knowledgeable and culturally-engaged in-house designer to help us refine and develop our visual identity, and to work closely with the marketing team to produce internal and external assets across both digital and print.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

• producing a comprehensive set of brand guidelines for the company
• helping to further develop the company aesthetic and visual identity as the brand grows
• working closely with our web developer to produce designs for new page layouts and other site changes
• designing and producing digital ad sets to specifications for property portals, social media and display advertising
• developing and designing The Modern House’s print magazine, and any other books or publications
• designing templates and other visual content for email newsletters
• designing and producing print adverts as required
• designing all printed collateral including postcards, Christmas cards, invitations, letterheads, business cards and comp slips, and advising on printing specifications where necessary
• designing co-branded digital and print assets for content collaborations and partnerships
• designing templates and reactive visual content for Instagram and other social media channels
• working on other design projects as required

Applicant requirements:

• a discerning aesthetic, and a good understanding of modern design, art and architecture
• a strong and relevant portfolio of design work, across both digital and print
• a forward-thinking approach to the brand, and the ability to spot development opportunities
• demonstrable experience of working in a team, ideally in a similar role
• advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
• a highly organised and detail-oriented approach

Desirable skills:

• a good understanding of the web development process
• experience working with CSS, HTML and Javascript
• Illustration skills
