London, UK
Architect/newly qualified architect
at Baca Architects

Baca Architects is hiring an architect/newly qualified architect to join its team in London.

Baca Architects is looking for a newly qualified or soon-to-be qualified architect with strong organisational and leadership skills to join our London studio. This is a key role for a talented professional who combines creative excellence with effective project delivery.

We are a leading practice specialising in climate-responsive and water-adaptive architecture. Our current work includes designing part of the world’s first floating city in collaboration with Dutch partners – blending British design innovation with Dutch engineering expertise. Our portfolio also features award-winning projects both in the UK and internationally, ranging from floating eco-resorts in the Maldives to resilient masterplans, amphibious housing, and coastal regeneration initiatives.

We’re seeking a confident individual ready to take ownership of project delivery. If you have a strong foundation in practice and are ready to lead discussions, coordinate teams, and drive projects from concept to completion, this is your opportunity. Supported by a team of talented designers you’ll be joining a high-trust, design-led studio that values initiative and leadership, offering a clear path to Part 3 and beyond.

This is a long-term role with opportunities for international travel.

About the role

You will:

  • lead and manage architectural projects across various scales and stages (from individual flood resilient houses through to urban blocks)
  • oversee design development, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure key project milestones are achieved
  • contribute to design reviews, mentor colleagues, and support the strategic direction of the practice
  • opportunity to meet clients face to face.
  • work on projects that are both international and environmentally significant

You should be comfortable operating at a high level of responsibility, managing deadlines, and maintaining design quality across multiple workstreams.
