SGS Design is looking for a mid-weight designer to join its team in Kent, UK.

SGS Design is a small interior design studio based in Kent, specialising in high-end residential interiors and select commercial projects.

We’re looking for an exceptional and motivated mid-weight designer to join our team. You will work closely to support our senior designers on all aspects of the design process. SGS Design is a highly collaborative studio and new projects include a new build family home in Sevenoaks and a cocktail bar and restaurant in Bath.

The role

The position is full-time and permanent, offering the opportunity to develop design concepts and client presentations. You will be producing technical drawings, schedules and specifications for a variety of projects and should be confident to work independently and contribute to the wider design team.

Experience required:

• at least three years’ experience in an interior design studio or similar
• degree-level qualification in interior design or interior architecture
• a strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-completion work
• strong skills in 2D and 3D software (AutoCAD, Vectorworks and Adobe Creative Suite)
• good knowledge of UK suppliers, materials and specification
• excellent communication and client-facing skills
• organised, with a good eye for detail
• ability to work productively in a fast-paced studio
• a full UK driving licence and access to your own car (essential), as the role involves regular travel to client sites and suppliers
