New business and communications manager

Caruso St John Architects is seeking a new business and communications manager to join its London office.
We are a medium-sized practice with offices in London and Zurich. The practice works in the UK and the EU and is recognised for its cultural projects, public buildings and collaborations with artists. Well known projects include the Newport Street Gallery, the Millbank Project for Tate Britain, and the New Art Gallery in Walsall.
The role: We are looking for a proactive New Business and Communications Manager, who will work in our London office to 1) raise the public profile of our work 2) lead our submissions and research for new work 3) work on the compilation of two forthcoming publications, and 4) manage the practice’s digital platforms.
The role would suit a confident, culturally engaged person with relevant experience in the arts or architecture, a good eye for design, experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, strong writing and project management skills, and someone who is highly organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
This is initially a part-time role (24 hours per week) which could be worked over three or four days per week. The role is office-based.
Key responsibilities will include:
- new business: manage the production of pre-qualification submissions with input from senior staff, monitor tender services, produce practice brochures and presentations
- PR: work with senior staff on business development activities, liaise with external PR departments and consultants, manage contact lists, and undertake networking
- publications and press: work with the practice partners, senior staff, and publishers to compile and edit publications
- digital platforms: maintain and manage our website, online archive, and project database
