Senior interior designer
at Lambs and Lions
Lambs and Lions is seeking a senior interior designer to join its team in Berlin, Germany.
About Lambs and Lions:
At Lambs and Lions, we approach design as a dialogue between people and place. Rooted in hospitality and residential design, our work is guided by atmosphere, materiality, and human scale – creating environments that feel timeless, tactile and quietly alive.
We are currently seeking a senior interior designer to join our team in Berlin. This role is suited to someone with a refined design sensibility – someone who understands that calm is a form of clarity and that beauty lies in the details we choose to leave in or leave out.
The role:
You’ll be involved in projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with our creative team, you’ll help shape environments that are clear, atmospheric and grounded in material and spatial coherence.
You’ll contribute to all phases of the design process, including research, concept development, drawing, detailing and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- lead the design development of interior architecture projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with the creative vision and client goals
- collaborate with the creative and design teams to develop design concepts, presentations, and project documentation
- manage all phases of interior architecture, including design development, technical drawings, and construction documentation, ensuring deadlines are met
- oversee and coordinate the integration of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) and OS&E (Operating Supplies and Equipment) into the design process
- review and approve design documentation, including architectural drawings, material specifications, and interior layouts
- collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure project specifications are met and design quality is maintained
- ensure all design solutions adhere to budget and schedule constraints while maintaining design integrity
- lead project site visits and oversee construction coordination, ensuring the design is executed to the highest standard
- address and resolve design challenges in real-time, providing creative and practical solutions
- stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to push the boundaries of design excellence
- provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and designers
- travel may be required for site visits and client meetings
Requirements:
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior architecture, interior design, or a related field
- minimum of five years of experience, with a strong portfolio of completed hospitality projects
- strong leadership skills, with experience managing a design team and overseeing complex projects
- proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, technical details, and furniture specifications
- solid experience in onsite project management, construction coordination, and design implementation
- strong understanding of materials, finishes, building systems, and construction methods
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and design concepts effectively
- proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
- advanced project management skills, with the ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines.
- fluent English – German is not required
