Mohamed Harasani Architects has been delivering architectural solutions for over 30 years in Saudi Arabia and has recently expanded with a new office in London as of 2024. The London office focuses on the initial development of concepts for various projects, which are then transitioned to the team in Saudi Arabia for further development and execution.
Mohamed Harasani, the founder of MHA, has deep-rooted connections to London and is an alumnus of the Architectural Association. Vincent Konaté, the director of our London office, is a French architect with extensive experience at OMA, ZHA, BIG, and Herzog & de Meuron.
Role description
You will be assisting with the development of the complex geometry of a parametric ceramic façade. This will involve work with parametric pattern such as Perlin noise, physics simulation (kangaroo), work on colours with parametric tools, etc. in both grasshopper and python (or C#). The role is for assistance on a Freelance basis, starting ASAP, with potential for an extension into a longer term collaboration.
Candidate requirements:
- minimum three years’ of architectural experience post-Part 2
- proven track record in developing complex geometries using computational tools
- experience with international projects
- proficiency in Rhino
- proficiency with grasshopper, including extended knowledge of its plugin ecosystem
- proficiency with a programming language (preferably python) and integration with grasshopper workflow. Experience with 3rd party python packages and their integration within grasshopper components
- legal right to work in the UK
