Laplace is seeking a senior FF&E designer to join its team in Paris, France.

About us

Founded in 2004 by Luis and his partner Christophe Comoy, Laplace has become synonymous with exceptional architectural and interior design, producing acclaimed projects for clients in the public and private sectors across the cultural space.

Key responsibilities:

• manage all stages of a project, from initial concept and design development through production monitoring, delivery and installation
• manage day to day client relationships, including direct clients, family offices, property managers and personal assistants
• prepare mood boards, visuals, plans and elevations using Photoshop, Rhino and other presentation and rendering tools
• select materials, develop bespoke pieces, monitor orders through delivery and coordinate work with upholsterers, manufacturers, suppliers and other trades
• develop and refine furniture designs, overseeing the production and manufacturing of pieces created and produced by Laplace Design
• source furniture, lighting and accessories include researching design brands, collectible design galleries and monitoring furniture auctions
• overseeing project tracking documents, budgets, schedules and financial records
• coordinate delivery logistics and on site installation of decoration projects, working closely with the agency’s Interior Architecture team
• provide regular internal progress reports to the Department’s management
• maintain and develop a network of suppliers, artisans and industry contacts, as well as the materials library
• stay informed about industry news, emerging trends and new products to continuously expand the materials library and professional network
• continuously research vintage furniture and decorative objects, keeping up to date with auction houses, galleries and specialist dealers

Desired profile:

• education: minimum of four years of higher education (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent), with a qualification in Department of Interior Architecture, Design or Department of Applied Arts
• experience: ideally 7–10 years of relevant professional experience
• EU Passport
• lives in Paris or able to relocate
