Lawson Ward Studio is hiring an architect to join its team in London.
Lawson Ward Studio is an emerging London-based architecture and design practice founded by award winning architects Hannah Lawson and Georgina Ward in 2020.
With a diverse portfolio spanning cultural, educational, and residential projects, our work ranges from small-scale remodelling of existing buildings to large-scale new developments. We are particularly interested in the reinvention of existing buildings and sites, whether through careful remodelling or bold contemporary interventions, and we often collaborate with community-led clients.
Our current portfolio includes ongoing projects for The Science Museum, The Courtauld Institute of Art, The Natural History Museum, and the BFI. We also recently completed the Roden Centre for Creative Learning at the National Gallery, which is currently shortlisted for an AJ Award.
We are now seeking a talented and motivated recently qualified Architect to join our team in Hackney Wick. This role offers the opportunity to lead significant packages or smaller projects within a major cultural scheme in London, working across multiple RIBA stages.
Key requirements:
- a collaborative, proactive, and organised approach to work
- excellent design sensibility and keen attention to detail
- a thoughtful and socially engaged design ethos
- strong communication and team-working skills
- experience in exhibition design would be an advantage
- solid experience in construction detailing and technical design
- good working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD (preferred)
- confidence in producing and coordinating comprehensive technical packages
