Kelly Behun Studio is hiring a FF&E and procurement manager to join its team in New York.
Overview
The FF&E and procurement manager oversees all aspects of FF&E – sourcing, pricing, purchasing, and logistics. This role’s primary responsibility is to ensure that design intent, budgets, and timelines are met through efficient coordination, vendor management, and cross-team collaboration.
Primary responsibilities:
- manage project budgets, preliminary pricing, and production schedules in collaboration with the studio director
- source for furnishings, lighting and materials; obtain all details, samples, net costs, lead times and other information needed to properly sell the items
- oversee key materials and finishes, including rugs, millwork components, and fabrics and maintain project carts and archives
- vendor correspondence and coordination
- prepare client proposals, vendor purchase orders, and track production progress
- coordinate logistics for shipping, installation, and storage
- compile detailed Installation Guides (elevations, dimensioned plans, etc.) and Spec Books for project close-out
- manage and mentor (3) intermediate designers alongside the other senior staff, ensuring alignment with studio goals
- oversee client and vendor communications and Kelly Behun Studio-brand product order– via direct outreach, 1st Dibs and gallery collaborations
- maintain studio resources, including the vendor pricing database (furniture, lighting, rugs, etc.), Pinterest boards, and our in-house material library
- coordinate vendor presentations and trade accounts
- help manage intern assignments – including design assistance, fabric sourcing, vendor outreach, material library organization, etc.
Qualifications:
- seven plus years’ of experience in interior design, FF&E management, or procurement (luxury residential preferred)
- strong understanding of vendor processes, design documentation, and logistics
- excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Google Suite, and Adobe Suite. Studio Designer proficiency is a MUST to be considered for this role
