Van Thiel & Co. is offering a creative minds internship in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

This is a full-time, six-month to 1-year contract, however the position could become permanent.

Van Thiel & CO. is a multi-platform company. Excellent 3D modelling and rendering skills are a plus. You will also need to be fully conversant with Adobe Creative Cloud. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is a plus. This is a great opportunity to gain insight into creative processes and gain hands on experience in an exciting company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- to provide support to creative leaders on day-to-day activities
- assisting with designing furniture/prints/graphics
- research on Image trends on platforms such as social media, etc
- create conceptual trend boards for design team and meetings
- assist with sample review and set up
- assist with creating seasonal catalogues and look books.
- put together tech packs for factories
The ideal candidate MUST:
- have a genuine love of furniture and art
- be commercial in furniture design and print
- be aware of trends; be that designer/colour/style trends
- proactive creativity and enthusiasm
- have a good understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud
- be able to plan and organize their time well
- keen on learning new skills
What you will learn/we will teach you:
- an in-depth knowledge on how a high-end furniture company works from design to production
- an understanding on how the creative leaders puts together collections, for individual brands, based on trend research and datas
- create design packs for the factories to develop samples
- the chance to build on your portfolio by, under supervision of the creative leaders, creating designs for many of selected high-end retailers
- you will enhance your Photoshop/Illustrator and InDesign capabilities
