Part 1 or Part 2 architectural assistant
at Root and Erect
Root And Erect is looking for an experienced Part 1 or Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
We are a RIBA-chartered architecture and landscape design practice working on projects for the common good. Root And Erect provides architectural services, landscape and public realm design, play design and user and stakeholder engagement. We are looking for a thoughtful and collaborative designer with strong communication skills and a commitment to sustainability and social value. You will work on a range of projects across buildings, landscape and play – demonstrable experience or interest in these areas is a requirement.
Collaboration is central to our practice and we invite every team member to bring curiosity, care and ideas into our shared design and practice conversations.
Key skills and experience:
- collaborative, curious and people-focused approach to design
- strong visual communication skills, including hand sketching and technical drawing
- Vectorworks experience is desirable (2D and 3D)
- demonstrable interest/experience in both architecture and landscape design
- interest in sustainability, ecology, regenerative design and social value
- experience or interest in social media is desirable
- eligible to work in the UK
