Experienced Part 2/3 architectural assistant

Mullally Architecture and Design is hiring a Part 2 architectural assistant or recently qualified Part 3, with a minimum of two years’ experience, to join its team in Kent, UK.
This role is suited to someone ready to contribute from day one. We are looking for a candidate with a solid grounding in RIBA Stages 0-4, who is comfortable working on live projects, producing coordinated drawing packages, and supporting both planning and technical stages with minimal supervision.
Practice
Mullally Architecture and Design is a small RIBA Chartered Practice based by the sea in Broadstairs.
This is an opportunity to grow with and help shape an energetic practice delivering exciting projects across the country. Our work is predominantly residential, with a strong focus on revitalising existing buildings, bespoke new homes, environmental design, and heritage projects. We take pride in providing thoughtful, pragmatic design solutions and in guiding clients clearly and reliably through the challenges inherent in any project.

Candidate
The ideal candidate will play an active role in the development of the practice and be ready to take responsibility for their work. You should be confident applying your existing skills in a professional setting, while continuing to learn through live project experience.
Applicants must have:
- a minimum of two years’ experience in UK architectural practice
- practical experience of RIBA Stages 0-4
- strong technical and drawing skills, with good construction knowledge
- experience producing planning and technical drawing packages
- proficiency in AutoCAD (essential), with working knowledge of SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- clear, professional spoken and written English
- a strong work ethic and the ability to manage tasks independently
- the right to work in the UK
Desirable experience:
- working knowledge of UK planning policy, Building Regulations and CDM 62015
- site experience and consultant coordination
- residential and/or heritage project experience
Role details:
- position: full-time or part-time, permanent
- salary: competitive, dependent on experience
- location: office-based in central Broadstairs, seconds from the sea, with remote working considered
- flexible working: remote working can be considered on some days, subject to role requirements and project needs
- start date: March
