The role
Joseph Walsh Studio is currently seeking a sales and communications assistant for a six-month mission. The role is based in Marseille, but will require occasional travel to Ireland. The final six weeks of the mission will be in Paris.
This is a role for someone who relishes the opportunity to work in a busy, creative environment and has a clear understanding of the Studio’s vision and objectives. Reporting to the Studio’s Creative Associate, the Sales and Communications Assistant will assist all on aspects of a major Paris exhibition including programming, logistics, marketing, communications and sales. This role is suited to someone with a strong interest in art, design and architecture who is confident, self-motivated, sales driven and committed to the highest standards of quality and presentation at all times.
Duties and responsibilities:

- exhibition marketing and communications
- exhibition sales strategies and procedures
- general administration
- assisting the creative associate on other tasks as deemed necessary
- adhering to the studio’s best practice procedures and practices
The ideal candidate will:
- have a strong interest in art, design and architecture
- have marketing and communications experience including social media
- have experience in the luxury goods sector [desirable]
be fluent in spoken and written English and French [essential] - have a strong work ethic
- have strong logistics and project management skills
- have the ability to work on their own initiative and achieve deadlines
- have strong attention to detail and desire to work at the highest standard
- be flexible
