Job description
We are looking for an experienced Part 2/3 or freelance architect to help deliver a range of exciting projects within our small studio. The successful candidate will be working directly with the principal on the delivery of a number of high-quality, interesting and unique projects, which include the conversion of a WWII watchtower, conversion of a large barn and the development of several farmsteads.
The role will include:
- delivery of drawing packages (RIBA stage 1-4)
- production of stage reports and client presentations
- design development studies
- job running for smaller residential projects
Without the safety net of a large practice, we are looking for somebody who is eager to take responsibility, able to run jobs and excited to be a key member of a small team. The studio is based in Ross-on-Wye and, ideally, we would like the candidate to work from the studio a minimum of three days a week. We also use a shared workspace in Bristol and can discuss flexible working arrangements for the right person.
Initially, we are offering a freelance position for a six-month period with the opportunity to offer a permanent position at the end of this period. Please outline your interest in a brief cover letter for consideration.
What we can offer:
- exposure to all parts of architectural practice
- experience working at all RIBA work stages and project running
- high level of autonomy and responsibility
- flexible working arrangements
- opportunity to have a big impact on an emerging practice
