Remote working, UK
Business development and bid coordinator
at Beedier
Beedier is looking for a business development and bid coordinator to join its growing team remotely.
We are a specialist business development and marketing consultancy working exclusively with architects. We help architecture studios win work through bid management, business development, marketing and content creation, becoming a trusted extension of our clients’ teams rather than simply an external consultancy. Alongside our client work, we’re building Beedier.com into a leading online resource for architectural business development and marketing. Through original articles, research, listings, industry insights and practical guidance, our ambition is to create the go-to platform for architects looking to grow their practices and win better work. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, research and content that help shape this exciting journey.
Role
Working with our architectural clients, you will support a wide range of business development and marketing activities. The role involves researching new architectural opportunities, coordinating consultant teams throughout live bids, producing high-quality submissions using Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word or Powerpoint, completing technical tender documentation and writing compelling responses to bid questions. Alongside client work, you will contribute to Beedier’s wider marketing initiatives by researching industry topics, writing articles for our website and helping us build one of the leading online resources for architectural business development and marketing.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys writing, design, organisation and architecture, and who is comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience
You may already have some experience in bid coordination, architectural marketing, business development or professional services, although we’re equally interested in candidates with transferable skills. The role could suit an architectural graduate, Part 1 or Part 2 architectural assistant looking for a different career path, or an administrator from the architecture, construction or design sectors with strong communication and organisational skills.
You should have excellent written English, outstanding attention to detail, and experience using Adobe InDesign quickly and confidently to produce professional documents. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential, and confidence using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Copilot to support research and drafting would be advantageous.
Culture
We’re a small, ambitious and collaborative team that believes great architecture deserves great business development. We intentionally maintain a carefully managed client portfolio, enabling us to build long-term relationships and deliver consistently high-quality work. Everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas, improve our processes and help shape the future of Beedier as we continue to grow.
We’re a fully remote business built on trust, flexibility and accountability. Rather than following a traditional fixed working week, our full-time team members work 150 hours per month, allowing them to organise their time around their lifestyle and commitments. This equates to around 13 additional days away from work each year, alongside an initial annual leave allowance of 20 days plus statutory holidays.
Whether you’re balancing family life, enjoy travelling, prefer to work around other commitments or simply value greater flexibility, we’re interested in the quality of your contribution rather than when or where you work. Our work is deadline-driven, and there will be periods when client submissions require everyone to pull together. In return, you’ll enjoy a high degree of autonomy, the trust to manage your own time, and the opportunity to work with some of the UK’s leading architectural practices on exciting and high-profile projects.
Equality, diversity and inclusion
Beedier is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. We are a UK business, so applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
