Morph Design Studio is seeking an architect to join its team in Surrey, UK.

Morph Design Studio is an award-winning architectural practice based in the heart of the Surrey Hills. We specialise in creating exceptional bespoke homes, with a particular focus on high-end residential projects across Surrey, London and the South East. As our workload continues to grow, we’re looking for a talented and motivated Part 3 architect or senior architectural technician to join our friendly studio. This is an exciting opportunity to work on beautifully designed private homes, from concept through to completion, taking ownership of projects while working closely with clients, consultants and the wider team.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for managing a range of bespoke residential projects, including new-build homes, extensions and refurbishments for private clients and developers.

The role includes:

• leading projects through all RIBA work stages
• preparing planning and Building Regulations packages
• producing high-quality technical drawings and detailing
• liaising with clients, consultants and contractors
• attending site visits and project meetings
• managing, supporting and mentoring junior members of the architectural team
• assisting on other studio projects when required

Essential requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

• is a qualified Part 3 architect or an experienced architectural technician
• has at least two to three years’ UK experience working on residential projects
• has experience managing and coordinating a small team
• has strong knowledge of UK construction methods and detailing
• has experience preparing Planning and Building Regulations applications
• is confident managing projects independently
• is proficient in Vectorworks and SketchUp
• has excellent design, technical and presentation skills
• has strong communication skills and is fluent in spoken and written English
• has experience working directly with clients and consultants
• holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a car for site visits
