Makower Architects has an opportunity for a senior associate architect to join its office in London.
Makower Architects is seeking an experienced senior associate architect to join its team in London to oversee multiple large-scale residential projects in pre-planning stages. Candidates must have 8-12 years of experience and have delivered multiple large-scale projects from concept to completion. The successful candidate will be a high calibre creative all-rounder partnered with strong technical skills and knowledge. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant young practice at a senior level and help shape its fast growth. Makower Architects is a design-led studio working across all sectors from residential, commercial mixed use developments to significant international urban masterplans and city-making strategies.
The right candidate will have:
- Experience delivering large complex projects from concept to completion (with emphasis on pre-planning stages)
- residential design and planning experience a must, additional sectors a plus
- thorough knowledge of planning process
- must have produced and submitted multiple large design and access statements
- strong writing, curation and verbal skills a must
- strong design and presentation skills
- experience chairing design team meetings and coordinating consultants
- first point of contact with clients
- experience leading a team of architects
- experience controlling overall design programme and budget
- thorough knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
- knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Rhino 3D a plus
- knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites a plus
- fluent spoken and written English
- demonstrable experience across all RIBA work stages
