Part 2 architectural assistant at Solidspace

Solidspace is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant with a keen interest to build on their architecture and design skills within an innovative client organisation. We are open to full or part-time applicants.

Solidspace is a design-led independent housing developer delivering unique split-level homes on challenging gap sites in London. We have 15 years of experience in funding, managing and promoting good design, as well as establishing a brand and a market niche for our product. All our projects have won architectural awards.

At Solidspace, you will be working on all stages of our upcoming development projects and feasibility studies for potential sites. You will have an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the wider development process, including site finding, design briefing, development appraisal, funding and marketing.

Applicants should have:

  • a minimum of three years’ experience within design-led practice
  • experience working on residential projects
  • working knowledge of UK planning and building regulations and residential design standards
  • excellent CAD skills (2D and 3D) in Vectorworks
  • proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and excellent presentation skills
  • good communication skills and experience working as part of a team
  • strong organisational skills and ability to work independently

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
