Studio assistant/PA

There is an opportunity at dRMM for a studio assistant/PA to its directors to join its practice in London.

DRMM, a vibrant, Stirling award-winning architecture practice, seeks a proactive, confident and organised studio assistant/PA to the directors.

The job is based in the admin hub of the practice. The role provides administrative support at a macro level to the studio, plus some management PA duties.

As part of the administration team, reporting to the Studio Manager, the assistant must be an excellent communicator and a dynamic team player.

You will be pro-active in your approach and comfortable using your own initiative.

Responsibilities relating to:

  • reception duties
  • general studio admin
  • studio maintenance and housekeeping
  • health and safety
  • training
  • internal studio communication
  • ICT support
  • events
  • record keeping/database entry
  • diary management
  • travel arrangements
  • email account housekeeping
  • tracking and submitting monthly expenses

Essential skills/qualifications:

  • excellent organisational skills
  • strong communicator
  • high standard of written and spoken English
  • proactive and logical approach to problem-solving
  • three A-level B grade or equivalent
  • clear and polite phone manner
  • ability to multitask
  • excellent understanding of computers
  • ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • ICT qualification or training
  • proof-reading experience
  • understanding of GDPR principles
  • knowledge of InDesign
  • interest in architecture

The role requires the assistant to work independently, but also collaboratively within the admin team and the studio. You must be adaptable to changing environments and be flexible both with your approach, and occasionally hours.

Attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential. The studio is a friendly, supportive and encouraging environment to work in, and is a supporter of the London Living Wage. Please note

This is a junior administrative position. Architectural training/experience is not required. Permission to work in the UK is essential.
