Galerie kreo is seeking a gallery intern to become part of its team in London.
Galerie kreo is offering a paid internship, an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the fast-paced contemporary design world and play part in the growth of its expanding team in London. the Internship may be conducive to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Galerie kreo is one of today’s most influential galleries in contemporary design, producing and showing pieces designed by worldwide famous contemporary designers, including the Bouroullec brothers, Pierre Charpin, Konstantin Grcic, Hella Jongerius, Alessandro Mendini and Jasper Morrison. In addition, the gallery is a renown specialist in vintage lights.
The candidate should be reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a keen interest in the world of art and design. He or she should communicate effectively, have excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail. The candidate will be fully involved in the daily running of the gallery alongside the gallery director, supporting the team with the preparation of images/drawings and information material for clients, exhibitions and fairs as well as in the organisation of exhibitions and updating the gallery’s database. The candidate will also be responsible for front desk duties.
Start date: end of August 2019
Period: three months
Requirements and skills:
- articulate, accurate, reliable and able to work under pressure]
- excellent organisational skills
- confident communicator
- background in design or art desirable
- previous experience with communication and social media desirable
- good knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
- proficiency in English, both written and spoken, essential
- fluency in additional language(s) desirable
- resident in London
