Junior interior architect/designer

Purple Design is seeking a freelance interior architect/interior designer to join its team in London.
Our studio
Purple Design is a small dynamic studio which prides itself on being easy to work with. We work on prestigious residential interiors. Our attention to detail is fastidious and our interiors are finished to the highest quality.
We are looking to work with a diligent and creative interior architect/designer on a large private residential project to start January 2020.
Your responsibilities will include:
- assisting the design director with design concepts proposals
- producing accurate CAD plans and elevations: room layouts, finishes, light and power
- producing rendered drawings for presentation
- producing digital design presentations using Adobe InDesign/PowerPoint
- assisting with the development of material palettes
- producing and coordinating schedules for FF&E and various interior schedules
- managing the purchase and manufacture of detailed bespoke furniture and lighting pieces
- ensuring all FF&E related deliveries are on site when scheduled
- liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
- establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with manufacturers and suppliers
Your key skills and experience:
- degree in interior architecture or interior design
- one to two years’ experience as an interior architect/designer preferably at a high-end studio
- excellent presentation and communication skills
- competent in preparing CAD drawing packages
- knowledge and understanding of residential sector suppliers and manufacturers
- experience in sourcing, scheduling and procuring FF&E
- comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- must be able to manage time efficiently and work to tight deadlines
- reliable, honest, organised, detail driven with a high level of initiative
- ability to work independently
- generally a friendly and positive person who is easy to work with
- fluent in English

- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- 3D modelling and rendering
- Photoshop
- InDesign
- Office 365
- hand-sketching
